Lloyd Lindsay Young grew up in Hollywood, California and has been in the TV/Radio broadcasting business since college.  He built his reputation on television with his over-the-top delivery and use of outrageous weather pointers which were sent in by viewers.  Lloyd’s career took him to New York television where he spent 12 years at WWOR-TV, channel 9.  Considered by many as the best weatherman ever, Double L’s trademarks remain a booming voice and boisterous delivery to include a loud “Helloooo!” and his signature yell of “Science!” in his report.   Young transitioned to radio weather in San Francisco, California and has maintained the same style on radio that made him famous on TV.
