This poor bastard was entered into a World's Ugliest Dog competition by the person who is supposed to care for and protect him... and we thank her for that. The comptition was held at the Marin-Sonoma County Fair in Peteluma, Ca.

Judges confirmed on Friday that Mugly, an 8-year-old Chinese Crested, is anything but easy on the eyes. He beat out 28 other fugly pups at the Marin-Sonoma County Fair in Petaluma. His owner, Bev Nicholson, was pleased: Her canine won her $1,000 and a year's worth of dog cookies. (sfweekly)

And it's good for him that he won because his name is Mugly - the expectation was set from birth; it would be like being named Mathletic and not being good at sports. It's okay, dad, I can join the Mathlete Club... (sigh) Don't bother, son, you're not that smart either...
