Conan O'Brien put together a montage of local news doing the same story with the exact same intro. If I had to bet, they're just reading from the same news-prep service without rewriting it. Every one of those stories also probably included the words "pain at the pump." And then was followed by some awkward banter between the anchors in which someone would talk about their wallet getting hurt.
