You don't have to watch the whole video - go for it if you want, but it's not necessary - just skim through; it's just a video that North Korea shows it's citizens so they don't want to leave their plush as-long-as-you're-not-in-a-gulag-all's-well lives.
Just when you thought North Korean propaganda videos had hit their batty peak, they drop this one on us. “Capitalist Society Growing Darker” is a Korean-language video that purports to show what life is really like in the bleak, impoverished West, a land of homelessness, starvation and rampant gun violence. If you watch the 24-hour news channels you might agree that we're a land of "homelessness, starvation and rampant gun violence," but come on, we made the inventor of Spanx a billionaire... That's sort of the opposite of an "impoverished West" if people can afford enough food to get fat enough to buy undergarments - which they can also afford - that make you look thinner.
This reminds me of when I first visited some family in Seattle, and it not only didn't rain, but the weather was fantastic. I asked them, "I thought it was always crappy up here." And they told me that just what everyone up there says to make sure no one moves there. Basically what I'm saying is that the State of Washington is just like North Korea; nothin' but a bunch of filthy liars.
A few years later Seattle had a record year for days without sunlight...
