It kind of sucks when you realize a song you listened to as a teenager is 20 years old. That's Low by Cracker.
Cracker's David Lowery has put Pandora on blast for how they pay out royalties to the artists of songs they play. He posted on his blog thetrichordist that Pandora paid him $16.89 for 1,159,000 plays of "Low" last quarter.
That seems low, but I have no idea what royalties should be. To compare, he posts that he got $1,522 from terrestrial radio. I know, right? Stations still play "Low?" That should be the story!!
